Established in 2002, Sollands atelier in Norfolk makes use of both traditional and contemporary craftsmanship methods. Highly skilled British craftsmen, with decades of experience, produce the signature Gra Furniture and Gra Premium collections, as well as fitted furniture and joinery for kitchens, dressing rooms and bathrooms.
The workshop is equipped with state of the art and traditional tools and machinery. There is also a spray booth and polishing shop, enabling each piece of joinery to be produced from start to finish to Sollands exacting standards.
The use of premium materials and the identification of suitable woods and veneers of appropriate texture, grain and colour are critical to the production of the Sollands quality. Equally important are the immensely experienced Sollands finishers and polishers who produce the high gloss lacquer finish, consisting of applying multiple layers of colour and lacquer. Marquetry and inlay, combining many different veers hand cut to intricate patterns, is a further skill the workshop prides itself in.
The various stages of production are stringently controlled, working closely with Grazyna Solland to ensure all pieces meet her design and exacting quality criteria.
